1. Cancellation Policy
a) Individual hire
Cancellations for Individual hire bookings received up until one hour before your booking for the Cross Country course will credited with a re-booking for a different date.
Monetary refunds will be at the discretion of Ely Eventing Centre
Cancellations should be made via email to littledownhamht@gmail.com.
b) Clinics
For Clinic Organisers:
For a full refund, 48 hours’ notice of cancellation is required. Any later than this will be at Ely Eventing Centre’s discretion.
Any adjustments to the length of booking time will be much appreciated as early as possible, however we will endeavour to be reasonable.
For Individual Clinic Bookings:
Clinic spaces cancelled prior to times being issued will be eligible to re-book onto a different clinic or to use the Ely Eventing facilities or training with Tina Ure.
All bookings cancelled by Ely Eventing Centre due to weather or ground conditions will receive a full refund.
Clinic spaces cancelled after times are issued will be refunded at the organisers discretion.
A waitlist may be kept if oversubscribed.
Cancellations should be made via email with littledownhamht@gmail.com, with cancellations on the day also requiring a telephone call/text message to the clinic organiser.
c) Lessons With Tina Ure:
Lessons cancelled with 24hours (or more) notice will be eligible to re-book training with Tina Ure or use the Ely Eventing facilities.
Refunds will automatically be issued as a re-booking unless requested to be otherwise to littledownhamht@gmail.com
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be refunded at our discretion.
Cancellations should be made via email, with cancellations on the day also requiring a telephone call/text message to Tina Ure.
2. Terms of Use and other Useful Information
• All dogs on leads - at all times EVERYWHERE
• Please park nose to buildings/fencing in the lorry park, parking as close together as possible to allow maximum space for vehicles
• No horses are to be tied up to the outside of lorries/trailers to allow maximum space for vehicles
• On busy days cars, trailers and small lorries will be asked to park on the grass parking, leaving the hard standing for the larger lorries
• All droppings are to be removed from the lorry park and emptied into the muck trailer
• No mucking out of horseboxes
• Be aware we have ground maintenance machinery and staff moving in and out of the lorry park. While every care will be taken not to alarm your horse, please make them aware if your horse is likely to be upset.
XC course
• Use is not exclusive – others will be using the course for training. The numbers booked to use the course will be limited to allow everyone to enjoy the facilities, however these must be used responsibly and with consideration to other users.
• Beware the start of the season (February/March/April), school holidays and half terms can get busy with group bookings.
• Check each fence for damage before you jump it.
• Report any damages – YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED.
• Replace any knocked flags. These flags are designed to pop out of their holders, if knocked, for safety reasons.
• Do not attempt to jump fences beyond your ability.
• Do not attempt to jump any fences with crossed flags or that are roped off.
• Note the signs indicating the level of some of the jumps (British Eventing Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) and don’t attempt unless you are well practiced at that level or above.
• We try to accommodate requests wherever possible, and be open when and where ground conditions allow. However, please respect the state of the ground and please do not attempt to go where areas are roped off.
• If you want to come specially to jump a certain fence, then please enquire before you book whether it will be open.
• All riders to have a responsible adult with them capable of helping in the event of an accident.
• Hard hats must be worn at all times and must conform to the British Eventing safety standards.
• Body protectors which conform to BE safety standard must be worn.
• Failure to wear the appropriate safety equipment for both horse and rider will invalidate insurance cover.
