New to Eventing Series - help to prepare yourself or young horse for the event season.
The series aims to develop the confidence of both horse and rider when working on grass, over uneven ground and introducing the core elements likely to be encountered on a cross-country course.
Session 1. Sunday 10th March. Show jumping on Grass.
Focus on using poles and simple grid work to develop footwork and rideability. Developing to joining fences together in a simple course. 1hr session £35.00
Session 2. Sunday 24th March. XC course.
Introducing Ditch’s, Water and Steps to gain confidence, then moving on to linking simple XC fences together as a practice course.1.5hr session £60.00.
Session 3. Sunday 7th April. SJ field and XC course
This session will start in the SJ field, with a discussion about warm up procedure followed by jumping a course. We then move onto the XC course to practise the technical elements and joining fences together as a course. 1.5hr session £60.00
Session 4. Tuesday 16th April. Classroom session followed by XC session.
The classroom session will offer the opportunity to discuss speed, studs, tack and course walking. The ridden session will start with a warmup, Start box procedure, choosing the correct speed, preparing to enjoy your xc round. Classroom session to start at 2pm for everyone booked, followed by group practical mounted sessions. £50.00
Sessions will have a maximum of 4 in a group, which will be with horses/riders at a similar stage of training. All sessions will start at 10am and times sent out during the previous week.
Advance booking to include sessions 1/2/3 at £130.00.
Session 4 to book separately £50.00
